Main Theme: Working Together for Excellence in Asian psychiatry
Dear Friends,
We are honored to send you greetings on the occasion of the 2nd WCAP and cordially invite you to this exciting congress.
The Second World Congress of Asian Psychiatry is the next World Forum on the rapidly developing field of Asian Psychiatry, not only for the over 35000 Asian psychiatrists but all psychiatrists with interest in psychiatric research, teaching and services in Asia. The Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations formed in 2005 has brought together psychiatrists from 6 regions of Asia and the World to help develop Asian psychiatry.
The First World Congress of Asian Psychiatry in Goa, India in 2007 was a resounding success as it brought a wealth of research on Asian psychiatry and afforded the opportunity for the gathering of leaders in Asian psychiatry to discuss common issues, especially in the rapidly advancing region of Southern Asia.
The 2nd WCAP moves to one of the fastest growing areas of Asia, in Taiwan to highlight progress and challenges of Psychiatry. in East Asia. The 2nd World Congress promises to be an exciting opportunity to present latest Asian research in psychiatry as well as innovations that can bring changes not only in Asia but also in other parts of the world.
I look forward to meeting all of you in Taiwan in 2009 !
